Astrium Satellite Manufacturing has to implement a multi-purpose work platform system that must meet their strict safety regulations and provide a safe environment to produce satellites. Traditional scaffolding is too heavy and cumbersome, while aluminium towers do not meet their requirements, as each application is different.
The Solution
LOBO Systems’ safe and secure platform product. The unique and patented clamp allows the system to be assembled without the use of tools into any size or shape. This allows Astrium engineers to attach a guardrail at any point on the system. Therefore personnel are not exposed to the risk of a fall during assembly, thereby meeting the safety rules.
